\n\nLecture #2 - Tues\, May 14th 6 pm - Urban Myths or Realities - We examine such questions as: What&rsquo\;s the deal with black-on-black crime? Why do there seem to be more black youth in prison than in college? Are MPS schools failing\, or it is that black kids and parents fail to properly value education? Is poverty moving into the suburbs?
\n\nDr. Fran Kaplan and Reggie Jackson of Nurturing Diversity Partners\, are nationally-known educators/speakers/consultants that will provide expertise in anti-bias and experiential pedagogy\, historical literacy and cultural competency. The lectures will also feature Sherrill Knezel of Meaning Marks LLC \, specializing in live graphic recording for visual literacy - her images will capture the essence of our journey &ldquo\;From Good Will to Good Work.&rdquo\;
